Your session starts with a short introduction from our head gemologist.
You'll learn how gemstones form, what makes one valuable, and how a rough stone becomes a finished gem.
Choose Your Raw Stone
A master craftsman pairs up with you and guides you through the selection. You pick your own raw stone and learn how to judge its shape, orientation, and potential.
Shape It, Step by Step
With the craftsman beside you, you work through the main stages of gem cutting:
- Pre-forming: rough-shaping the stone to set its basic form
- Faceting: cutting precise angles to bring out brilliance and light
- Polishing: finishing the surface until the stone shows its natural shine
Learn as You Create
Every stone behaves differently, and you'll see why. Different gems need a different approach, and by the end you'll understand gemstones far better than any photo or description could teach you.
